I'm going to India!

This blog I have used in the past when I got home from a missions trip, but I want to continue to use it to document the impact that God has made on my life through the use of missions.

This December, I will be venturing out to India! Tenali, Andrha Pradesh to be exact. It honestly is so surreal. About a year ago, God placed a love and passion for India in my heart, and I didn't know if I would see the day where I would be able to go and travel to this beautiful country! I am beyond excited. We have had team meetings over the past two months that have consisted of Ice Breakers, bible memorization, devotionals, testimonies, and even times where we ate Indian Food with our hands!

I am so thankful for this opportunity! God is just so great. This week I also discovered that I have raised half of the funds needed to go! It is so incredible to think that everything is falling into place. I've completely trusted God with this trip because I knew that if I took it in my hands, it would be impossible, but nothing is impossible for Christ!

If you can, please be praying for me as I prepare to go to this country. I want to be equipped and ready for God to use me to impact India. I don't want to walk into this trip thinking about how it will affect me and change my heart, but focus on India. Too many times I think that people walk into a short-term missions trip expecting God to change them, rather than focusing on the purpose behind the trip. I want to be outwardly focused on the beautiful people of India. Pray also that my team becomes equipped and ready to leave in a month and a half as we have a lot of preparation to finish before we leave.

We will be going with Harvest India, an organization that RockHarbor has partnered with for about 10 years now. They work with Orphans, People afflicted with Leprosy, Red Light District Victims, & Elderly. They are a group of people that are outwardly focused on showing Jesus' love to the people.

Please watch this video about this organization. I remember looking into Harvest India over a year ago, so amazed at all that they do. I'm so excited to be going and offering to help them!!
